Kabbalah, Science and the Perception of Reality
In this video, Rav Michael Laitman talks about an example presented in the movie "What the Bleep Do We Know!?" It's the one about Columbus' ship approaching the American shores; how as it approached, the Indians standing at the shore couldn't see it. Only after one Indian took note that there were ripples in the water, and looked to see what was causing those ripples, could he make out a big house floating on the water coming for them. "Ship!" he yelled--"Ship!!!" -- and that's how ships got their name...
No, that's actually way off. Anyway, Rav Laitman relates this example to our perception of reality, and then continues to go one step further, stating the difference between the perception of reality as taught by Kabbalists, and the perception of reality as taught by the scientists in "What the Bleep Do We Know!?"
